Since we live so close to the beach we often have people come visit...which we LOVE and the kids LOVE even more. ;) For this Memorial Day we had a couple of Jeff's buddies come visit for the weekend to play games, celebrate Jeff's b'day, and go to the beach. Which, despite living only about 40 minuets from VA Beach we have never really gone to the beach. Oh sure, we have been there, walked around, checked out the board walk, etc., but we had never really taking all our beach toys and just sat on the beach and enjoyed it...that is until now. :)
| I admit, we got them addicted to the "train game" but we all love it so much we play anytime we get together. |
| I got Jeff a new game for Christmas, "Scotland Yard", which we broke out with the whole group. |
| Coley...never far from the food. |
| Nate and the boys played Frisbee while the gals soaked up the sun. |
| Jeremy and Stasia checking out the Atlantic. There was a storm coming in so the waves were really strong. We saw several people get knocked over by the force of the waves. |
| Nate watched the waves from a safe distance and played in the sand. |
| Craig was trying to get Nate to try the water...no would do. |
| The best part of the beach...beach food...and with a one yr old in company that meant most of the food contained sand by the end of the day. |
| Playing in the sand. |
| Jeremy and Stasia teaching Coley how it is done. |
| Allia building a sand alligator for Nate. |
| Oh the sand... |
| More building...we did have an engineer, landscape architect, chemist, pediatrician, defense goo-roo, and a SAHM all working on these castles. |
| Daddy and Coley coming back from some time in the water. |
