Nate is getting ready to be a big brother

Ever since we went on the tour of the hospital Nate has been prepping to be a big brother. The only thing we can figure out is that he is finally putting two and two together. See we have been talking about babies and how he is going to be a big brother, but it seemed like seeing the babies in the nursery at the hospital seemed to make it more real to him. We saw two babies in the nursery, one was sleeping (although Nate said, "Baby, cry.") and then they brought a very new newborn into the nursery. The new baby was kicking up a storm and Nate loved to watch him. He then started saying, "Baby, kick, pow-pow." I am a little afraid Nate is going to think his baby sister is going to be born playing football, but I guess we will cross that bridge when we get there.

Like I said though, since our tour he has a new fascination with the bouncy seat and anything else we say is for the baby. He has also started "caring" for my old cabbage patch doll. We now have to change the doll's diaper, put her in her pjs, start the SU Otto mobile for her (sometimes we have to do it several times because it didn't play long enough), and we always have to have her little pink zebra teether for her. He has also decided that he likes to rocker the baby after she wakes up (see picture...sometime we lay on the baby as well. :) Overall it has been fun to see the difference in Nate this past week...now we will just have to wait and see how he does with the real baby.
