Fort Sumter and the boardwalk

Sunday we decided to take a trip to downtown Charleston to see if we could tour Fort Sumter. We had a great time learning about the fort, seeing dolphins along the ferry, and enjoying the nice weather. Nate thoroughly enjoyed exploring the fort and decided that we needed to walk him around instead of listening to the "talk" by the ranger. I think between Jeff and me we have a comprehensive understanding of all that Fort Sumter stood for.

That evening we decided to try and eat in town at one of the diners after we scoped out the boardwalk. Nate enjoyed walking the boardwalk, staring down birds, and watching the waves. We decided to eat at a seafood place on Folly Island (it was just down the street from our beach house), however that decision didn't end well for Jeff. Let's just say that I don't think we will be eating seafood again very soon...Hallelujah!
