Sorry it has taken me so long to post these pictures but better late than never. :) Last Friday, April 23rd some of the girls and I met at the beach for a picnic lunch and then some sand time. This time we decided to go to Buckroe beach which is actually on the Chesapeake Bay. Nate had lots of fun chasing Caelyn in the grass (while he was supposed to be eating lunch) and he had a blast playing the sand. We actually spent about 3 hours at the beach!!
(NOTE: The bottom left picture is of Kathryn's back after Nate decided to deposit two fist fulls of sand on it...thank you Kathryn for being so understanding!)
So the second group of pictures is of all the things Nate decided to do in the sand. He walked in it, crawled in it, and rolled around in it. I didn't have to worry about him getting too close to the water because at one point he did and when that water hit him he froze and then let loose with a very loud cry. He still isn't too fond of the water. :)

Looks like a blast! How far away from your house is the beach?

Jessica, We live about 2 miles for the James River beach (Nate and I run to it), about 10 miles from Buckroe beach, about 30 min from the Yorktown beach, and about 45 min for VA beach...so when are you coming to visit??? :)
