My sister's home school group is doing a summer reading program and they are studying Little Britches by Moody. Well the first day we were in CO they were having their first meeting and they made food like they did in the book. Kara invited us to come along and it was a lot of fun. Cora did a presentation of some pictures, then we all got to eat!! Kara made some homemade donuts that were delicious! Dad made a potato dish, another lady made some meatballs, another biscuits and gravy. It was all so good (even Cora's mince meat pie). After eating the kids started their soap carvings. Nate definitely got in on that action. It was so much fun that I might have to try something like that when the kids are older. ;)
