Nate's 4th Birthday!

Since we knew we were going to be in DC on Nate's birthday, I wanted to bring a couple of his small presents up for him to open.  He has been talking about turning 4 for weeks now and couldn't wait.  The list of things he was going to start doing when he turned 4 was growing by the minute!  Well, to say he was excited that it was his birthday is an understatement!  He started the day with Mommy singing to him and then he headed next door to Grandma and Grandpa's room to watch TV.  It was a little bit later that he finally "woke up" enough to open his presents.

I found a Lightening McQueen penny racer on sale and it was a ton of fun to play with (although we almost lost it a couple of times!)

He also got a full set of cars from the Cars2 movie.  He already had Finn but we all have enjoyed playing with these cars.
And then this is what he wanted to do the rest of the day.  He got to play for a bit while we rounded up breakfast but we had to take all these cars with us just about everywhere for at least a week after his birthday!

And of course no birthday is complete without a trip to Red Robin!  He got his own shake!

Coley was asleep when we got there but she even woke up for some shake and some ice cream.

They sang to Nate (he got really really bashful) and then they presented him with a hot fudge sundae...something Daddy and Mommy helped him eat!
