We were thankful that we could meet Michelle (Jeff's cousin) in Charlotte, NC at the airport. She helped with the kids and thankfully had the seat right behind Nate so they could play games on the airplane. Nate loved it. When we got to the airport in the Dominican Republic they had us get off the plane and walk into the actual airport building. We had some trouble locating our luggage (they kept telling us different carousels and we finally found them off to the side of one that wasn't running!) and then we waited in line forever to get our van to take us to the resort. It really wouldn't have been bad/long if it wasn't for the kids. They were tired, missed lunch, and just ready to be at the resort. Overall though, the travel was better than expected and I shouldn't complain!
I wanted pictures so here is Jeff at the airport in line to pay to get into the country. Of course the line was long and Nate had to go potty so Jeff took him while we walked through the rest of the line. They were very efficient and we ended up at the front of the line before the boys got back. We just let some people go in front of us.
Michelle helped me with the bags and the wild child.
A poster in the airport
Nate hanging around the airport while we tried to figure out what happened to our luggage.
The view from our room at the resort!
This was wonderful to wake up too!
They had a jet tube out on the balcony (with a screen) that I really wanted to try out however we ended up only using it for the kids baths (since we only had a shower in the room.)
