So Nate had his first official doctors appointment and everything is looking good! I think every mother's fear is that her child isn't eating enough, but it was nice to have the doc confirm that he is definitely eating enough (we were also worried because he had started to spit up a little bit and Jeff was convinced that since he was spitting up he was emptying his stomach and then not getting enough milk.) Well Nate weighed in at 9 lbs 14 oz!! Six days earlier when we were at the docs he had only weighed 9 lbs 4 oz so he had gained 10 oz in 6 days! The doc said it was normal for them to gain ~0.5 oz a day at this age, but Nathaniel seems to be ahead of the game. (I think defensive linemen may be in his future :) Overall Nate was in the 75% for weight, 95% for height, and 50% for head circumference (I would really hate to see a baby's head that was in the 95%!!!) We are both doing better on the sleep thing so hopefully we will have more of the bugs worked out here in the near future.

love the top pick - so cute! don't worry - as soon as you work out the first "bugs," more will come. i think nolan changes the rules as soon as we figure out what they are!
